Reinventing a carbon neutral product line

Reinventing a carbon neutral product line

Clean beauty is a new trend that is starting to take off, and for good reason. This new movement shuns toxins and harsh chemicals that can be harmful to the skin, and instead relies on natural ingredients that will have a positive impact on the skin. It is important to keep in mind that the skin is our largest organ, and therefore is the first line of defense against what we put on it. Some of these toxic ingredients can cause allergies, and even long-term skin damage and irritation. Clean beauty is a way to promote a healthy and natural skin care routine. Climate change is a scary prospect for one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions.

The amount of pollution put out by each car is very high and generates carbon emissions. The more pollutants the air can carry, the hotter it will remain. Using resources to find a new way to reduce carbon emissions and applying it to a product is challenging; but not impossible. Adding new devices to a car could change the way we look at pollution and figure out a new way to product a healthier environment. Ever worry what happens when you run out of that moisturizer or lip gloss that you love so much? Well, if you're anything like me, you might fret about the environmental impact. Sure, we're doing what we can to be green by not wasting plastic and watching our carbon emissions, but that doesn't account for the ones we have no control over.

The world uses so many cosmetics that it amounts to more than 45 thousand of tonnes of beauty waste every single year. We could cut that in the half if more people shopped sustainably. And don't forget about all of the secondary ingredients in those beauty supplies. The challenge is that a product’s life span is finite—think about how long a tube of lipstick will last you. Many products contain plastic, like the packaging or tubes, while other components are made from organic fillers and alcohols, which degrade and go off once you open them. All of this adds up to a much higher carbon footprint, which is pretty problematic if you’re one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. Before we panic and sacrifice one thing or the other, may I present to you a hair care company that has reinvented their product line so that it offsets the environmental impact and is carbon neutral?

Darma makes a vegan line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products without any toxins or chemicals that are safe for your body and healthy for the environment. All of their products are cruelty-free, gluten-free, and natural meaning they're recyclable and replenishable. Their new self-sustaining products are made using fruit and vegetable stearates instead of oil which are excellent gentle cleansers for hair. An environmental crisis is happening all over the world and our oceans are dying from pollution and the pollution in governments. By manufacturing a clean energy beauty product, we would be solving a big problem that is destroying our planet.

Companies should start utilizing less toxic ingredients in order to make our environment cleaner and healthier to live in. After we measure the impact of switching these ingredients, our population worldwide will no longer have to deal with the consequences of a dying planet. The Eco-Diva Industries is a company with a variety of goods made from recycled materials. Over the years, they have begun developing products with eco-friendly ingredients.

Currently, they sell reusable makeup brushes, skin care formulas, and more. If we were to make their product at a carbon neutral factory and take a larger global approach with everyone contributing in their own way then we could save our planet. In the future, we can take advantage of this and build on it in other aspects of the planet's biggest problems like pollution change. Having a global perspective will open the door for cooperation with governments and we will have more incentive to try and recycle and make a smaller impact on the environment. From a business standpoint, this idea will help save a lot of money in the future. Feasibility for Eco-Diva industries is so high because they already have a vegan, animal cruelty-free policy.
